Subscription renewal
« on: October 23, 2010, 11:19:12 PM »
My antivirus subscription runs out 1 NOV.  When I try to renew, I am forced to upload V5.0, but then it aborts because this computer only runs Windows ME and I only use this to keep up with e-mail and forums.  I can't upgrade Windows (hardware constraints).  Is there a way to continue to receive virus updates under the old version (v4.8)?

As Gargamel360 stated, AVast 4.8 is near end of life.  You can still register it at the link below, and gain a couple of months with it but that's all.

Support of version 4.8 will end in next months.
ClamAv (www.clamav.net) and BitDefender version 10 (http://download.cnet.com/BitDefender-Free-Edition/3000-2239_4-10322483.html) seem the last options for Windows 98.
