can't install avast 4.8 on windows 7

if i want to install avast the installer say that i only can install it on windows NT4 service pack 4 or higher help plz

Guess what, win7 is higher than NT4 SP4 and as such shouldn't be an issue.

However, your title and response are at odds with each other, the title says "can't install 4.8 on windows 7" yet you say "I have NT" ?

Windows NT was a very early OS before windows 2000 and XP and is completely different to windows 7.

So which OS do you have and are trying to install 4.8 on ?

my pc runs on windows 7
but the installer says i cant install it

avast 4.8 isn't a server antivirus product, but a client/system antivirus, so it can't be installed on a Server OS.

I take it that you are talking about the avast free antivirus version (link below relates to that) ?

Personally I would suggest that you download avast 5.0.507 and install that on windows7 http://www.avast.com/free-antivirus-download and save it to your HDD, somewhere you can find it again.

Sorry you have me completely lost.

I haven't got a clue what OS you have installed in relation to the errors, nor do I have a clue as to what avast version of avast and OS, each error relates to.

Without information we are in the dark and really can't help.

You seem to have a server edition of windows 7 and i dont think avast will install on server operating system.
