I can't be the only one to feel this way, when some application is storing 'my' user names and passwords on-line I get the shiver running down my spine, no matter how secure they might say it is.
I'm a trusting sort NOT, so lastpass got the big elbow when I found it wasn't an off-line method. So with roboform offering more of the same no way.
RoboForm is both online and offline
Just install the addon, create a password, go to option, change online to offline.
However, I agree with your point that trusting a group of people with your login info gives shivers down your spine.
I shifted to LastPass because I tend not to remember my logins of many forums and sites and I cannot keep track of them and I though storing my passwords in a server is better than my PC because some hackers might know the place where offline password managers store passwords.
And, it is easy to create super strong passwords and change them without me having to remember those unique passwords.
Some months ago, I came across an ISO disk that can scan your system for admin password, and a lot of other passwords.
