Very High CPU Usage from svchost.exe
« on: November 02, 2010, 12:40:21 AM »
Hey all, I am new... but i know how to use the search function. I have recently encountered a problem due to svchost.exe. Lots of people have had this problem and most of their fixes were the windows automatic updates. I still have control over my laptop when I use process explorer to minimize the svchost priority.

My problem comes from a differnt svchost.exe. This host has two services:
DCOM Server process launcher
Terminal Services

It is running @90% on startup and doesn't go away.

I have Toshiba Satellite M50
Windows XP SP3

I think I take pretty good care of my comp, but don't have much experience in the smaller details. I have searched this svchost.exe relentlessly but couldn't find anything. Thanks in advance!
