Why is Avast telling me to register again?
« on: December 20, 2010, 08:07:56 PM »
Everytime Avast updates I get this notification telling me it will expire in 12 days but it says the current registration will expire on 1/1/2011 at 12:00 am and my date of registration was on 11/1/2009

is your computer time / day / month / year correct ?.....if not adjust and reboot

have you tried avast repair ?

For a repair of avast. Windows, Add Remove programs, select 'avast! Anti-Virus,' click the Change/Remove button from the pop-up window, scroll down to Repair, click next and follow

Hi Tunez,

December 20 to January 1 is 12 days ;D

The registration is for a year, so you simply have to register again. It will still stay free.

As far as I know this is simply for statistics...
