Avast Doesn't detect Virus.

Hello, I install in my Notebook Avast free antivirus, and Avast Doesn't detect Virus, the virus database is automatically update, Why avast doesn't detect virus, a friend bring me a cd of AVG free antivirus, I install AVG free antivirus and run the AVG free antivirus, the AVG free antivirus detect this 2 virus and remove them, but I want to know Why doesn't Avast Free Antivirus detect this two viruses?.

What are the two viruses concerned, their original file and path names, and did AVG make these detections while Avast was installed?

 :'( I didn't save the report that AVG gave, but I remember the path of the viruses, the path was C:\Windows\System32, when these two viruses were active, the computer went slow down,I believe these two viruses came from a pendrive, also AVG remove these two viruses from the pendrive, is there something to setup that I didn't do in Avast Free Antivirus?.

Without the names and paths and other info asked for, it's impossible to say if these were actually genuine detections, let alone why Avast might not have identified them.

installing more than one AV can create all kind of mysterious windows errors and false detections.......

First before install AVG, I took out avast from memory to avoid conflicts and then I Install AVG and run AVG, Now AVG is active in the memory of the computer and Avast is not active, Avast is not more in  memory.

If you know or remember the location of the infected file (s) browse for them and copy to the avast! Chest. Then submit to avast! Virus Lab

Are the files that AVG detected as viruses still in the AVG vault?

If not, and they have been removed (deleted) from your system, there is no real way to find out what they were, nor submit them to Avast.

If so, please create a folder on your drive titled "suspicious" and export the files from the vault to that folder.

-Download the latest Avast installation file if you don't have it already, from here.
-Download the tool appropriate for your OS to clean up AVG from here.
Go offline. Uninstall AVG via the control panel. Reboot. Run the removal tool. Reboot. Install Avast. Reboot. Go online. Open the Avast chest, and select "add files". Once the files are in the chest, right click each and select for them to be submitted to Avast. They will be sent when the database next updates. Periodically scan them from within the chest to see if they are subsequently detected.
