What version of avast are you actually using (4.8, 5.0, Home or free, Pro or AIS) ?
As you have posted in avast! 4 BART CD sub-forum and I don't believe you have this version.

As for your Blue balls, avast 5 doesn't have blue balls but an Orange one ;D
