Avast Home Edition and Screen Saver
« on: August 13, 2004, 09:44:53 PM »
Running Avast seems to disable my screen saver. My power off settings for my monitors don't kick in if I allow Avast to run all the time. If I shut it down it seems fine. I don't not having the screen saver but I would like the monitors to power off at night.

Not sure what this is from and would appreaciate any ideas. This is being run on a Win2K SP 4 machine.

Right click the desktop, choose properties and go to the screensaver setup. Choose Avast as screensaver. Then click on advanched button and set your own screensaver there. That should work.

But there are a few issues witht he Avast screensaver as you can read HERE

If you leave the comp, why not just use the button on your monitor to shut it down? This will safe more energy than the power saving mode ;D
