avast pop up
« on: November 27, 2010, 06:01:21 PM »
I keep receiving a pop up telling me that my free avast is expiring and that in need to install the update. When I try to install the update it says I have the most updated file, but the pop up keeps coming back and I can't get rid of it. can anyone help?

if you already using avast 5..

That's not possible, as avast 5 isn't out for a year yet... ;)

It is possible, if avast! 5 was updated over avast! 4, the registration is carried over...

Regardless, we need to wait for the OP to reply.

Good point, Scott... ;)
Still I think from the way the question was asked, it's a 4.x installation trying to update to 5.x, but sure, let's wait for the answer of the OP.
