Ok let me elaborate a little more, I want to use it for gaming.
Games like Team fortress 2 and borderlands.

is it the one in reply #4  http://www.bushcraftuk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=53414

when you where jumping out of working airplanes ( why   ::) ) and crawling in snow, i was in the navy so did not need those boots   ;D

No they look like oversize wellies (Wellington boots), but all white with lacing round them. They may well have been military only given that they are all white and not fashion items ;D

I was really shocked when I opened it up myself as I always seen pentium 4 as a male processor (with pins) but mine is flat with metal connectors.

The newer processors have changed as pins tend to get bent if you are fitting them yourself and they are now more like studs that fit into recesses in the socket.

Ok. Confused a little about the wellie boots, lmao.
I have two mobo's one Im running now and a new one the Dual core is in.
I ran a system requirements test but it failed (not sure if the program caught the dual core), just wondering if it would play the games at equilvenlent the speed or perhaps faster.
Both systems are up and running atm.

Well a celeron is never going to be up to most of the modern games, without turning down the frame rate and other graphical enhancements.

You don't say what it failed on, but it may not be able to run it at a high enough frame rate to make the game run at a reasonable level or quality. The other aspect is your graphics card and what version of directX it is capable of running, so it isn't all just your CPU, but a combination of things.

It failed on CPU speed, possibly because the program I used failed to see it was a dual core.. not quite sure. It also failed on graphics because my card currently is not in the dual core pc.

Dual core is running XP SP-3 (Freshly installed on a 320gb WD Cavier Blue)
2 gigz of Ram. The card would be Ati Radeon HD 4350, Dx10.1, Pixel shader version 4.0 Vertex shader 4.0

Also I think they were on the right track with using a different way to connect the processor. I'm a beginner computer builder and I cannot recall how many processor's pins I've bent... I CAN recall how many computers I've built though. LMAO

All I can say is that you have to match the game minimum requirements against what your system will be. Crucially if it requires directX 11 in which case it wouldn't work, as XP doesn't support directX 11.

If it requires directX 10 then its RAM, CPU and Graphics and your graphics card isn't up to modern games.

Hey David thanks for your help and suggestions, also thank you for your patience. I think I might just use the dual core as a secondary pc and keep my P4 as it plays these games flawlessly (on low settings) Low is good enough for me, I'm not a graphics man,  more of a story line and playability.

Again thank you this suggestion was easy but never thought it through.
