Good Morning ! I'm new to Virtualization and Sandboxing and am wondering what are the main differences with Virtualizing and keeping safe in a sandbox ? Sincerely...Zron

Hi zron....If I understand your question correctly...From what I have read on the forum I believe 'the process virtualization' module in the "Real Time Shields" section is in fact what you are referring to as 'the sandbox'.
I'm sure one of the evangalists will expand on that :)

This has also been discussed in our Evangelists' Corner Café :

There was a lot of support for RejZoR's sugestion :

Though both terms are correct, it would be better if they used the same for both. Like:

- Run in sandbox
- Always run in sandbox

But there was also a discussion between Petr and his co-worker :

the first avast 5.0 releases used the sandbox term (e.g. "Always run in sandbox"), but our co-worker (native Englishman) didn't agreed with it (by his own account, if I remember right, "always run in sandbox" refers to the _place_ where the application should be executed - and doesn't say that app will be virtualized; what does DavidR think about it? Grin). I didn't argue, because English isn't my mother tongue. You're right that avast uses three different words for the same: process virtualization, virtualization and sandbox, uhh.
