Before you begin
Download the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor for a more detailed understanding of whether your PC can run Windows 7.
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows-7/get/system-requirements.aspx

My XP Pro system failed the Upgrade Advisor test miserably so I bought a new system.  ;)

Kenny,
The point of my post simply stresses that 32 or 64 bit isn't a users choice
but the proper version is determined by the type of computer you own.

The OP probably has a 32 bit system since that is what was asked about.

And if it were me, I would purchase the retail version.

Thanks for your replies,

Both my machines are W7 compatible only the WEI is different on them, running W7 trial.

The reason I mentioned 32 bit is that both are Core Duo & not Core 2 Duo assuming that they are 32 bit CPUs & would support only 32 bit W7 versions?

Regards!

Just click on start and type System Information into the search window then click on the application
It will tell you which type of computer you have.

You have to run System Information on the Windows 7 system.

Run the Windows 7 Update Advisor on the system you want to see if it can run Windows 7 64-bit.
