Hi! I 'm a new member and I just wanna say thanks to everyone at Avast for a fantastic product, and the time they spend on forums like this, supporting any problems. My question is..... Can the details of the updates to the programme be turned off when you start Avast?
Tony.

Yes, you can. Just click
avast!
tray icon > Settings > Updates > click the Details dropdown box > Uncheck "Show notification box after automatic update"
If this solution fixes your problem, please notify us and mark your topic "Resolved". Thanks

The current beta version of avast 5.1.798 also has a means to reduce the delay that the pop-up notification is displayed. If it is the duration that may suite your needs when the regular 5.1 version is released.
