Not scanning email
« on: August 19, 2004, 04:46:20 PM »
Please can anyone tell me how I know if Avast is in fact testing each email message? I tried the testing from GFI but nothing there happens I just get the messages without it testing each one. Please help.

Thank You In Advance

First of all, which email program are you using?
If Outlook Express, please run Mail Protection Wizard again...

Do you have a file called ashMaiSv.exe running in background? (CTRL+ALT+DEL to see it)

I uninstalled the Avast and cleared Avast out of my registry and Rebooted. I then just reinstalled the whole program. Now It works the way it is suppose to.

That was the hard way but at least you have it working again.
A simple Repair would probably have accomplished the same thing.
