cannot install

hi,
i thought i would give avast a try.
i downloaded 4 files;
avsrv_ful.exe
setup_adnm.exe
setup_adnm_no_msde.exe
setupengpro4.exe.

i have a server that i would like to protect with avast.
hence i thought the server/buisness option would be the way to go.

i cannot install setupengpro4.exe on my win2k3 server. [i did not expect to be able to]
i can install setup_adnm.exe. after install when i run the program i cannot login to whatever it asks for the password to.

when i try to install avsrv_ful.exe is see a popup showing something that looks like file transer but do not get anthing else. no install proceedure appears.

can you help please?

same problem happened to me

download the uninstall tool
and uninstall all the types that you did install
thats to strt with


avsrv_ful.exe  =  server version
setup_adnm.exe =  central management point
setup_adnm_no_msde.exe = central management point without MSDE database installer
setupengpro4.exe = the old package for clients   (it should not have been possible to install this one on a server)


the central management point is more complex, it indeed asks for password but then u still gotta configure it (read the manual for it

you want to install the srv installer which probably failed because you had installed other packages already
so try the uninstaller for ALL the products that you installed and then the server package
