ERROR 10048

Hi gang im a newbe so please be patient. Ive just
recently got rid of NORTON and all its resource hogging stuff ;D Then I became an Avast believer. I have only 1 problem.
When I first turn on my computer I get the messg. ERROR 10048 which is telling me Avast cannot protect my outgoing email. (smpt) OUTLOOK EXPRESS 6.00.2800.1123  PORT 25 is being used.   Im using ver.4.1home. Under internet accounts. (win-xp) net.props. outgoing mail (SMPT) I have a highlited 25 which tellsme I can change this value. However Im not sure what to change it too ??? Because I dont know how to see what ports are open? Can anyone please help me with this delima?   Thanks in advance for any help rendered.   Lonny

1] Setup the email in OE as your mail provider instructs you
2] Run the mail protection wizzard

See if that solves it.
