Need Help with re-registration

I have an older XP PC that I use infrequently but I keep it fully protected.  Today when
I signed on I get a message that my registration ran out in October.  I am running Avast Free 5.0.677 and just got an update a few minutes ago.  What is the deal here?  Somehow
I cannot locate the license key if I had one.

When I looked in My Documents there is no Avast license there. What do I need to do to get
my machine back on target?  It used to be so simple but like everything else Avast has gotten more complicated and I've gotten older.  LOL

What version of avast are you using, presumably avast free ?

If so just re-register from the avastUI, Maintenance, Registration and complete the short form and the registration is done within the avastUI. If this system isn't on-line you can use the off-line method.

See images, these are for initial registrations, but should hold for re-registration.
