Windows update not connecting to internet??

I have the windows fixit system on my computer and found the following that may assist - go to this site here and download the fixit centre

Once installed then run the windows update fixit

Sorry, i'm gonna have to reinstall my OS...
I deleted my KGyGaAvL.sys file and two other files in my program data folder....now i cant install the fixit...or the k-lite codec pack....and paint shop pro wont run....
I'll try running in safe mode...
nope...no luck...

KGyGaAvL.sys is part of Divx what other files did you remove from programme data ? As that is where application ready use files are stored

i removed 2 10 alpha numeric filenames below it. After this i couldnt run Paint Shop Pro, or install the fixit.

I have since backed up my files and reformatted my 1TB HD using DBAN. I will reinstall windows sometime today, and get back to you after i done so. Thanks for the help, but sometimes, some problems just dont have solutions.
