Where is the $80 coming from?

As long as you have a pre-existing XP license, you should be able to use that for free.

I do not have Windows 7 Professional as indicated by my signature.

Ahh... gotcha.  :-[

Sorry, all my experience with Win 7 is Pro and Enterprise.  Totally forgot about the stipulations that come along with it.

My bad!

But I and any one else have a perfect right to give our opinions.

Yeah, but it's kinda... offtopic here, no?

Also - your argument that "WOT is user based, thus its unreliable" is invalid. WOT works most of the time at the very least. Think that site's rating is unfair? Ask about that on their forum. If site really doesn't deserve that rating, they'll fix it soonish. Otherwise, you make no sense - you just complain about something which actually works almost perfectly...[/offtopic]

Judging by this statement, I guess that... you had negative experience with WOT forum, and now you claim that the whole thing sucks? Very clever.

Also, none of you provided any reason of why you are WOT-haters(except "its user-based" nonsense). Seriously - if you like critizing stuff, at least critise it constructively.

also - why the heck you're adding typos while quoting stuff I write?

Okay look... WOT is user-based, yes. Guess what. Such systems work rather well... look, doesn't Avast itself have user-based virus submission? Sure, scammers may submit their virus as false-positive or a regular program as a virus - not like that happens often, right!? Right. Konversation terminated.

"K"onversation terminated ... hmm you can't decide that; feel free to leave the thread though, that's your damned right ;D

When I see a WOT page showing at the same time something like:

useful, informative >>> 4 users
good site >>> 6 noobs
contains malware, phishing etc...>>> 2 users
reminds me of my sister in law... >>> 6 users

what the hell am I supposed to do with that? see screen shot. As to comparing WOT to Avast... WOT users don't submit anything btw, except their opinion, as opposed to files submitted to Avast... so what are you talking about? that's not serious. WOT is just a rating tool, based on ratings :D ... indexing web content, indexing your browsing, and I wouldn't be surprised to learn that they were selling the data.

Okay is my question their are some people used WOT and some people don't used WOT right ??? then they can do whatever they choose who cares.

So my real question is what kind Secure Web extensions security add-on that you people used beside Finjan that doesn't working the latest Firefox browser and WOT, because I cannot for any more Secure Web extensions security add-on something that I never heard or seen before.

IF WOT is a piece of CRAP I've wouldn't have used in the first place, so which kind of Secure Web extensions security add-on is available.

Use NoScripts (alternative to Firefox's NoScript) to block potentially dangerous stuff from sites. Works rather well.
