Taskbar icon - Rt. click action
« on: December 24, 2010, 10:08:08 AM »
Good morning.

Right clicking the Avast taskbar icon results in a menu.
There is nothing special about that - the same applies to every other taskbar icon.

What is different, though, is that unlike all my other icons, the only way to close the Avast menu is to open and close one of the offered services. A small thing, but an irritation.

Is this normal, or do I have a glitch in my installation?

Regards,

Works fine for me, i just click on the taskbar on or on the desktop and the menu goes away...

@nmb: Are you having the same problem ?

@Mike Yes, I do. Are you on beta? I am on stable.

Yes using the latest beta on Win 7 x64. Maybe you should give the beta a try ?

You can click on one of the greyed out areas in the context menu and then click on the task bar afterwards and the menu will close. It's been like that for me for the last few releases.

Thank you all, my question is answered.

The "click on one of the greyed-out areas" trick works for me, too, and is less hassle than opening Avast.
