Illegal Licenses
« on: December 22, 2010, 07:02:30 PM »
I received two license files. Both of them were on an illegal download site.
Should I send them to AVAST or it is totally useless?
If some users have "free" avast pro or ais, AVAST know it and stop it, or they need some help?

By the way... Here is the site where you can find avast! licenses:
< link removed, reported to avast >
I really hate when someone use avast illegally.
I have "free" paid products too, but they haven't got a fully featured free version.
avast! have ...
free avast provides as good security as paid. Its engine is the same, and it has the same VPS updates.
I think if these features are not enough for somebody, he or she should buy this product not steal.

Please don't post the link to the site directly on the forum. Send the files, and information to avast!

To avast?
To an email? What email?
And it really helps?

I was thinking more along the lines of remove the link altogether...

Not exactly sure...
You could use this one: http://www.avast.com/contact-form.php?loadStyles
and choose "sales inquiries" (seems the most relevant IMHO)

I can't answer whether it really helps, but I'm sure they appreciate the information.

i know this site and its not too unsafe to download from it..i dont know why to use avast with illegal license..its not necessary..i used to download "cracked" software too but then i realized that this makes companies lose a lot of money and even stop producing the software you appreciate and "crack"..i still have a game cracked and maybe that makes me a hypocrite but i think that the game industry is different and a bit unfair because they make games that cost 40-60 euros and they dont deserve it..i'm trying to buy the games that i like and want to support but sometimes paying so much isnt fair if you want to relax for a couple of days..anyway i hope the site you posted doesnt go to the wrong hands and lead to massive "cracked" downloads

avast surely cannot control this problem but we can educate people and inform them about the unnecessary problem they cause ;)

This illegal activity, leaves you wide open for a serious infection
either from visiting that type of website or through the Keygen you use
to illegally bypass the programs registration mechanism.
For most people, the cost of the repair caused by the infections received through this illegal practice
is usually higher than the cost of the program had you purchased it legally.
