I don't think it is as simple as that as it takes some tracking down the source of the spam and then who is behind it.

So that really isn't what he's doing he is going after the soft targets, legitimate companies (whom are much easier to identify and find as they aren't hiding) that are just sending out emails to customers or potential customers without fully complying with the American anti-spam legislation. These companies are basically stupid rather than engaging in an illegal spamming campaign.

So he isn't contributing to bringing down organised crime mass spamming networks at all or making any dent in worldwide spam, he is just another ambulance chasing lawyer out to make a better living that he did as a marketer (ironic, as that is what the companies he is suing are trying to do).

What do you have if you find 10 lawyers at the bottom of the Hudson river ?
