Version upgrade causes change in manual update procedure
« on: January 02, 2011, 04:25:18 PM »
Hi - if this is a bug, it's certainly a very minor one, but the version upgrade did cause a slight change in fetching manual updates for Avast Free. Previously, when using XP and right-clicking the tray icon, and then selecting "update" and "Engine and virus definitions", that would be enough user input to complete the operation. Now I need to click on the "Update engine and virus definitions" option on the panel as well, so apparently the previous command to do so fails to execute. Same situation with the program upgrade as well.

Not complaining - I can handle the extra click, just thought you'd be interested.

It happens also in Win7. I was lazy to report on earlier betas, maybe I've forgotten it. Sorry.
