Ports for POS System
« on: January 07, 2011, 09:40:03 PM »
We recently purchased 10 licenses of Avast Pro for our retail stores. Each computer has a single copy. Each night computers from one store are supposed to sync our inventory and sales to the other store. Since installing Avast this does not happen. We get an error when the computers try to sync. I have a list of about ten specific ports that the router uses to do this. I am unable to enter these into Avast. When I open all ports on Avast for this program I still have the same problem. Is there a way to add specific ports or am I doing something wrong?

Well, the question is kinda strange - given the fact that avast! Pro doesn't contain a firewall.
What kind of sync is that? (protocol, ...)
Does it help if you stop any of avast! shields? What exact build of avast! is that, btw?
