upgraded two machines, on xp pro sp3  - all went well- did it through the upgrader
will now tell my clients to upgrade

I just upgraded from v5.1.884 to v5.1.889 on my Windows 7 (X86) program. Everything looks good thus far. Thank you for providing a great product!!!!!!!

1. I wanted to say in the "next" 7 days. :)
2. The reason we do this is that we don't want to kill our servers every time we release a new program update. This measure helps us distribute the load evenly.

just upgraded the avast internet security i won last month, on xp pro sp3 machines- no problems.

How come it no longer popping up telling us there is an upgrade?  I have not seen this in the last 4 small versions?
How is anyone suppose to know there is an upgrade without it popping up something?
Most people do not even open their antivirus program unless they get a virus or they see some kind of error msg

Again, it will start asking at a random time (random for each user) in the next 7 days. See above.

BTW v5.1.864 was not advertised this way though as we were aware of some compatibility issues.

I've tried updating (from 864) via the GUI after seeing this thread, but am getting that same "file not found" error.  Guess I should wait for the pop-up notification.

I installed 889 over 864 using the updater. The 889 fixed the problem of the computer freezing when USB ports were accessed and it installed in only 3 minutes. So glad I waited and didn't rush into downloading the betas taking 3 hours for a full download! Thanks for addressing all the issues and getting the authorized out!
