Where is eMail scan in v1.4.0?
« on: January 14, 2011, 03:58:29 AM »
I may be missing this completely, so please set me straight.

I just installed a v1.4.0 for Ubuntu, taken from here: http://public.avast.com/~cimbal/linuxedition/avast4workstation_1.4.0-2_i386.deb

I thought the free version was able to scan email, but see nothing in this version to allow setting up a relationship with the email such as shown on the Avast site, and specified  as a capability here: http://www.avast.com/comparison-chart

Am I missing something? Is this functionality not available in this version, or the Linux slice n'dice of this version?

Thanks

Roger

Hallo,
AFAIK the version for Workstation can scan email files, but there's nospecific binding to mail clients. So decide yourself whether this fullfils your understanding of "email scan". :)
