« on: January 14, 2011, 08:52:46 PM »
Hello,

i have avast internet security 5 and today i try to update because i saw he just inform i have a new update.
So i run that update and everything goes fine.
I restart as i was anounced and after that i receive a bluescreen windows and the windows started to to search to repair....After 5 minutes started restore...Avast started but all 9 services was down.Any tries fail to start.

I unnistalled this avast and reinstal with old kit 5.0.594 and this time i don't update.Avast working fine.

In maintenance tab i have :
Engine and definitions:110114-1
Program :5.1.889
server:75.125.47.146

In update program from maintenance i have:

current version :5.0594   and the anouncement of new version is available(5.0.889)

I tried 2 times to make update on program version and both time i was in blue screen and restore system so i come back to old version....

I have AIS buyed with valid license.

I use windows 7 x64.

Could i have a answer how to solve this situation.

Please check the C:\Windows\Minidump folder - there should be the dump files there corresponding to the bluescreens.
Please upload them to ftp://ftp.avast.com/incoming - or mail them to PK's e-mail.
Thanks.

Thanks, I got your minidumps - your system crashed in ODIN component, the activation tool for your Windows7  ;D. I'll have to look at it in more detail during this weekend.
