Eudora and POPFile
« on: August 31, 2004, 09:16:44 AM »
I'm having some difficulty getting Avast up and running again.  I installed POPFile between Eudora and Avast and there's the predictable problem with port conflicts.  My problem is that I can't seem to figure out what port should be where and I can't find anything that details the port sequence on this website (at least anything that I can make sense of).  The incoming sequence looks like;

   MailServer -> Avast -> POPFile -> Eudora

and the return path should be;

    Eudora -> MailServer

Hopefully the following table isn't going to be too screwed up here.  I was going to attach a doc that was formatted a little more exactly, but apparently I can't attach .doc files.   If someone could do me a huge favor and take a look at it and see where I'm messing up, it would be much appreciated.  I'm putting a word doc online at www.venture-1.com/~billf/POP-SMTP.doc if someone wants to look at it.
