I run the following (dualboot and virtuel PC's):

Windows 7 Ultimate (x64) --> issue
Windows 7 Pro (x64) --> issue
Windows 7 Enterprise (x86) --> works
Windows Vista Business (x64) ---> issue
Windows Vista Business (x86) --> works
Windows XP Pro (x86) --> works

All systems run Avast! Internet Security 5.1.889 (licensed for 10 PC's for 3 years).

I am a little annoyed...

Btw as I recall the issue started on my x86 systems but after they ran again as they should, the x64 systems began having this update-issue after Saturday 15th of January 2011.

Oke then right after this post I did an update. It worked.
OS's used: Windows 10 Pro (x64) 1607 <-> Windows 7 Ult (x64) <-> Windows 8.1 Ult (x64) <-> Windows 2012 Essentials R2 (x64)
Avast Internet Security (sub for 10 PC's), HPM.Alert, Malwarebytes, Asus-x99 Deluxe/U3.1 (Intel Core i7 X980 EE - 64Gb Ram - NVidia Geforce x980 - Samsung PCI-e 950Pro 512 SSD), Microsoft Surface Pro 4 (6th Gen Intel Core i7 CPU - 16Gb Ram - 512 SSD)
When installing Avast! be sure to use the custom install... never the default!

I am getting this too - Windows 7; 64 bit.  I'm new to this program.  I was hoping this would run smoothly. Do I do anything or does Avast take care of it?

I installed the free version and everytime I try to update I get an invalid file signature error message.  What a waste of time it took me to install this program. I have dialup and it took hours for me to even get this downloaded!!  Are there any fixes for this problem? If not when will this problem be fixed?  I am ready to uninstall this program.  I also registered the program on 1-18-2011 which it shows in the program.  But anytime I try to get help for this error message I get an error message that that I did not register the program and I can not get help or ask anyone about the problem.  I have never had any problems with any other problems except this one.  I now wish I had not downloaded this program.
