Web Shield wont allow any browsers to access webpages on Avast Free 5 (Win 7)

Hi,

I also have a problem with avast 6.0.1.
After updating from version 5.1.889 to 6.0.1 my Internet browsers (Opera, Firefox, IE) are blocked. They cannot load Internet pages.
They start working normally after disabling Avast Web Shield. So the problem must be related with Avast 6.0.1.
Avast and Win 7 are updating normally with Web Shield enabled. Dropbox works fine too. i had no isues with Avast 5.1.889.

- Computer is running on Win7 ×64
- No firewalls installed
- Windows firewall disabled

Any solution to the problem?
Or should I roll back to version 5.1.889 ?

If that doesn't resolve the problem - I would suggest a clean reinstall of 6.0.1000:
- Download the latest version of avast, 6.0.1000 http://www.avast.com/free-antivirus-download and save it to your HDD, somewhere you can find it again (if you didn't save your last download). Use that when you reinstall.

- Download the avast! Uninstall Utility, aswClear5.exe find it here and save it to your HDD (it has uninstall tools for both 5.x and 6.0.x).

• 1. Now uninstall avast! (using add remove programs, if you can't do that start from the next step), reboot.
• 2. run the avast! Uninstall Utility from safe mode, first for 5.x if previously installed and then for 6.0, once complete reboot into normal mode.
• 3. install the latest version, reboot.
