Where i can find it? What's new/fixed in this 5.0.396 version?

I'm using the Free version of Avast.

yeah detailed change logs aren't given, when they definitely should appear either in avast program folder or at least on the web site

I guess they are too busy developing fixes for the people having system crashes to keep a Web page updated with all the fixes implemented.

It would be nice however on the Support page:

I just love how people missed changelog when there is and was direct link on the Avast Support page.
I'm just replying to this age old post because when you Google "avast changelog", then this thread comes on the top result.

Unfortunately this old topic also pre-dates the update of the Avast web site, so your link may not have been present then. As this was at the time when avast 5 had just come out of beta testing.

It used to be a much more long winded affair hXXp://wXw.avast.com/eng/avast-4-home_pro-revision-history.html, which although no longer active, redirects into the new products, but not the new release history page.

Hopefully anyone now finding this historic topic with a google search will be rewarded.
