Full system scan / Running box
« on: January 20, 2011, 01:02:02 AM »
This isn't actually a problem, but I'm curious about something. I purchased Avast Internet Security on Nov. 9, 2010. It wasn't until about 2 weeks ago that each time my scheduled scan starts, an oblong, gray box pops up in the right lower corner of the screen which says "Full system scan / Running" which has a bar showing the scan progress and also Stop - Pause - Details options at the bottom.

Why did this not appear for the first 2-1/2 months I had the program?

It is a part of the new 5.1 version update to show when a scan is in progress if you don't have the avastUI open.

I had the after thought that perhaps this was something that had come through an update. Thanks. I wasn't concerned, but was curious.

No problem, it was something that had been asked for as people weren't aware a scan was running if they were going to shutdown their system, etc. and then wanted to know if a scan was running.
