5. Sidebar gadget monitoring avast!. Windows gadget.

This will be a substitutive for screen saver scan, isn't it?

Sorry for my ignorance about the new features.

We don't have any information so far about the Sidebar gadget, but I don't beleve it has anything to do with the Screen saver scan.

I've got a question about the auto-sandboxing. If you were using a policy-based sandbox like GeSWall or Defensewall, would using the autosandbox be redundant and/or cause conflicts? Would it be better to turn off the sandboxing?

Yes, I'm waiting for that to happen.

Avast won't use the same parameters at all as Comodo to auto-sandbox, meaning that possible critics of plagiarism won't be relevant ::)... and honestly, what Comodo thinks ;D

Well, for me Avast is way ... way better than Comodo and without the autosandboxing feature, and as Logos stated it won't use the same method of sandboxing, plus it adds an entirely new feature for an av suite the Safe Zone.
Well let's better wait, beta testing we're waitnig you  ;D

Interesting article, thanks. :)

I hope there is a way to extract files from the sandbox (seems unable on Free version)...

My current worry is about compatibility between avast! Sandbox and IME software.
Does avast! Sandbox allow sandboxed software to do these things?
*Interprocess communication
*Execute another application inside the same sandbox
Desktop: Win10 Pro 22H2 64bit / Core i5-7400 3.0GHz / 32GB RAM / Avast 23 Premium Beta(Icarus) / Comodo Firewall
Notebook: Win10 Pro 22H2 64bit / Core i5-3340M 2.7GHz / 12GB RAM / Avast 23 Free / Windows Firewall Control
Server: Win11 Pro 23H2 64bit / Core i3-4010U 1.7GHz / 12GB RAM / Avast One 23 Essential

Hello
Is it possible to improve the detection rate in version 6 ?
