There will be lots of new improvements.  I'm sure Avast strives to always improve the detection rates as well.  Thank you.

Hello
Is it possible to improve the detection rate in version 6 ?

This isn't a specific target just for avast version 6 but an ongoing target for current versions and improvements in the virus definitions and engine updates. It is the new features in new versions that inadvertently bring additional protection and this should also see an improvement in detections.
Windows 10 Home 64bit/ Acer Aspire F15/ Intel Core i5 7200U 2.5GHz, 8GB DDR4 memory, 256GB SSD, 1TB HDD/ avast! free 24.3.6108 (build 24.3.8975.762) UI 1.0.801/ Firefox, uBlock Origin, uMatrix/ MailWasher Pro/ Avast! Mobile Security

All this new stuff sounds great! Autosandbox and Safezone will will help a lot. :)

But I've been also wondering if the Antispam toolbar will be integrated into email clients other than Outlook? Sure, Outlook may be the most popular, but Windows Live Mail, Thunderbird, etc are also deserving. ;)

Well, it's been 2 years since I last posted here.
I was using version 4.8 back then, and i was really satisfied(except for the interface >:()

I'm really excited about the upcoming version which has the Autosandboxing feature. ;D
But WebRep.....isn't that the same with Web Of Trust? ???
Well, as long as it's light on the resources.

Windows Live Mail uses a proprietary protocol if I'm not wrong. Impossible to integrate.

Welcome back.

It's not a security feature (neither WebRep nor WOT).
The communities are different though. The votes will be different.

Ah, I see. Thank you for pointing that out. ;)
Maybe some other email clients like Thunderbird? :P

For the antispam, it would be good.
Right now, the emails are scanning but not filtered.

Извените я незнаю английского. Пишу на русском. Скажите пожалуйста а интерфейс у аваста останется прежним или он поменяется? И ещё вопрос. Скажите пожалуйста примерные сроки выхода новой версии.

Not sure when the new release is due but should be not to far away, i dont think the interface will change as this is the new interface anyway.

Will Avast 6 be supported for Windows XP?  Or Just Windows Vista and Windows 7?

That's very considerate of the Avast team!  I recently cleaned and reformatted my XP machine and it works just fine.  In fact, VERY well, even better than when I got it new.  In this terrible economy, when people cannot afford to upgrade their computers, it is very commendable that Avast is still supporting the XP user!

XP will be around for a long time and Microsoft will support those users as well.  8)
