port 143 allready in use Message

Hello,

The avast scanner is almost running but if I start a ICA session i get 3 messages Port 143 allready in use, Port 110 allready in use, and, Port 25 allready in use.

What must I do about it I lookt in the manual but can't find something about it.

Hi,

so this is on a teminal server, right?
What mail clients do you use?

Because if you use Outlook only, you don't have to worry about the Internet Mail provider and this kind of stuff.

I'm using ms outlook xp on my Terminalserver with Citrix XP.

I'v tried serveral ports but on all I get the same message.

I hope you have a solution for this.

Just disable the Internet Mail plugin then (it is not used if you're only running Outlook).

I.e., for example run the file aswPopWz.exe from the avast folder, and choose 'Remove protection from all my accounts'.

That will do the trick.
