We'd need a favor. We're looking for translation of the following paragraph:

Avast! antivirus is based on the comprehensive ALWIL Software scanning technology available since 1988. Featuring fast incremental updates and advanced multi-layer real-time protection of all infection vectors, it safeguards against virtually all kinds of malware. Avast! is offered in multiple editions, including the FREE Home Edition and the Network Edition designed for large corporate networks.

We'd need it in as many languages as possible -- but most importantly in languages that avast is localized to.

This paragraph will be presented on the Microsoft web site (including local Microsoft sites, hence the translation).


Of course, if any of the native English speakers here has something to say about the text, that would be very welcome as well...

English is not my native language, but could it be they mean all kinds as in trojans, worms, scripts, and so on?

Hi Peter,
If the words kinds of are meant as a discriptor for the word malware, then I suppose you're correct.
If on the other hand the statement is meant to convey that Avast! protects us against all malware, then those words aren't needed.

Agreed, but could you claim you protect again all malware??? Would you want to claim that? I believe there will allways be one that is ahead of you, until you trap that one. Dealing with microsoft (and other large companies), you should be very carefull about what you say.

OR, leave it alone and let every one jump to their own conclusions.
