OK, lets summarise:
Are you still getting the problem with the web shield ?

What system is this avastUI problem on desktop or laptop ?
As you have confused me in first saying the PC is all-right and then it isn't, what are the differences in security in the two systems. As avast free is working fine on my XP Pro SP3 system.

Other than SAS what other security applications are installed on the system with the problem ?

Try this option, from the avast Settings (you may need to run the avastUI.exe file manually to get it open), Troubleshooting and check the Load avast! services after loading other system services.

i m getting problem with all sheilds.....all sheilds stops working and i get msg in taskbar when i point my mouse on avast icon,,,,, that ur system is not protected......

when i double click avast then i get error of avastUI......i dont have any other security application. i only have AIS.

i reinstalled avast today bcoz i was not able to open avast n all sheilds getting stop...... and sometimes makes my pc hang and restarts my pc automatically.when i remove avast my pc works good.....wat is the problem? my pc is absolutely fine and working with comodo......i i tried that too..only getting problem in avast......i m using AIS licensed version so i dont want to use anyother virus guard.......wat i do now?

I honestly don't know, if you followed the instructions fully and in the order stated for a clean install that should have cleared all the old installation. So there has to be something else in the mix, what I just don't know, introducing other AVs just further confuses the issue as you then have to ensure that they are completely removed also as that could get in the way.

What confuses me is that your avast icon is in the tray if as your other image shows it too is having a problem and being shutdown by windows. I just don't know what else to suggest.

All that yet it is working fine on your notebook.

i completed followed u. i uninstall avast in safe mood with that utility.... and reinstalled in normal mode.

i uninstalled other comodo av fully and also removed its folder from c drive. i updated my avast by downloading update file of 32mb and i run it in my pc....can this create any error like avastUI?

I don't know why you would need to download the update file, if you downloaded the latest 5.1.889 from the avast site (part of step 1) it should have a fairly recent virus definitions that could use the incremental update.

Your signature indicates the free version on the desktop, which presumably isn't correct ?
If you purchased the AIS version that support 3 systems ?

i did not downloaded whole avast software. i already got avast software so i just installed it and then i downloaded update file.......

i again installed ais as i said u before.....let me see if it again gives me error......

You state that you formatted your pc. Did you use the recovery disc to do this? Wasn't there an OEM antivirus/security suite installed at this time? Such as Norton or McAfee? If there was, did you uninstall it properly? Please doublecheck this in add/remove programs (XP) or programs and features (Windows 7).

i did not installed any other av before formatting pc......

i only have avast before...... i did not used any recovery disc......i did full format.....yes i done fully uninstalled it.......

if that problem occurs then i restart my pc 1 or 2 times then it fixes my problem and all sheilds works properly.......

Just to make sure that malware (infection) is not causing your problems:

Have you run any Avast scans to check for malware? 
- If so, which scans and is anything in the Virus Chest. 
- If you did not run any scans, please run a Quick scan and a Boot scan and report back.

If you also have MBAM (Malwarebytes) or SAS (SuperAntivirusSpyware), then run a scan as well and quarantine any infection that comes up. 
- Cut and paste the log to your next post.  We've been through this before, so you should remember the procedure, but let me know if you have any questions.  Thank you.

how can i get malware after formatting pc?

i immediately installed avast before surfing, connecting to internet.

i done full system scan and no virus found.

in morning when i switched on my pc,it showed my pc is unsecure.......what wrong with avast?m really pissed off from this problem..... formatting my pc also does not clears my problem. i cant fix the problem if i try to enable all sheilds...... nothing changes...... i m having problem with avast only.... i tried panda and comodo...... noth working good with no errors.......

seems like i need to leave avast...... but i dont want that  

any suggestions about this problem?
