Just reporting feedback to the Avast team!
Painfully slow installation of 6.0.945 on a fully-updated copy of Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.
During installation, the process was slow at the "finishing installation" phase and actually stalled at the "quick scan of your system" phase. After waiting 15 minutes at the "quick scan of your system" phase, I pressed the CANCEL button. When Avast asked if I was sure about canceling the installation, I decided to let the installation continue. After 10 more minutes, I pressed the CANCEL button again and saw the [NOT RESPONDING] message. I had to press hold the on/off button down until the system completely shut down. When I booted up again, Avast 6 was installed though.
Oh well . . . glad Avast 6 is working. I am sure the installation will be improved before Avast 6 is released in stable form. Thank you!
