Why do I keep getting this message when I try to run Avast AntiVirus Home edition? I have Windows XP Pro.
Did you install avast correctly? Boot after installing it?
If you did not, check if you have a non-corrupted installation file (setup.exe).
If you installed it correctly, please, check Control Panel > Add/remove programs and try to 'repair' your avast installation. If this does not work, please, uninstall/install again...
