COMODO Time Machine reported as Win32:MBRoot Rootkit
« on: April 11, 2011, 01:43:15 PM »
 :o
   Hi guys,

I just installed Comodo Time Machine and my Avast is reporting it like Win32:MBRoot u think is a false positive message? I deleted with Essexboy instructions http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=71782.new;topicseen#new but i really want to keep that program in my system.
More interesting is that on my laptop Avast is not notifying me about this MBRoot and i have same application installed there !!!

What can i do?  Huh

Thanks

Lucian

Any manipulation of MBR regarding to Comodo Time Machine could mess your computer deeply.
I will disconnect the computer from Internet, disable avast, uninstall CTM, enable avast again.
Wait for an avast solution (correction of the false positive) to install CTM again.

I uninstall succesfully the program CTM after so called disinfection  and i had no problems THXGOD... :) So its a false positive that Avast must fix it?
