Network Problem
« on: February 25, 2011, 04:11:15 AM »
I didn't know this was an update to 6.0 free a popup with a message to continue or not would have been nice I thought it may have something to do with Windows 7 SP1 release. This build causes network access problems. I uninstalled from desktop reinstalled 5.1.889  and upgraded the virtual PC to 6.0. There found out if you turn off network shield it gets immediate network access then you can turn back on and it works until reboot. I found if you wait several minutes it eventually establishes network contact. All of this time the virtual PC is available from other PCs on network. How do you get rid of the gadget? I close it and it's back on reboot. I don't want it on desktop.

I got caught up and had time so I uninstalled and ran cleanup tool and reinstalled 6.0 and it appears to work fine now.

The same thing happened to me on Avast 5.1.889 after installing Windows 7 SP1.  Network Shield now blocks all of my file sharing.

Uninstalling and running the cleanup tool then installing fixed it for me.
