Generate emergency disk

Hi there,

Can anyone advise me on how to generate an emergency boot disk from Avast ? The reason being is to boot affected pc/laptop from the diskette and scan/clean the viruses.

Thanks for the warm welcome ! ;)

Well, the boot scan definitely is not an issue to me, it works.

But what i was thinking is, IF one day my PC cannot boot up for whatever reason, and i suspect it is due to the virus, then i can use the boot diskette to scan/clean it.

Or another scenario will be, another PC(without antivirus software) was infected by virus, i can also use the generated emergency boot diskette to scan/clean it.

Avast has the BART cd for that. Look HERE for info.

You can also create a bootable cd (read instructions of your burner application on how to do so) and put Avast for Dos on it. But this may not be able to scan ntfs drives if you not also put NTFS drivers for dos on it.
