Some P2P Programs Not Available
« on: September 11, 2004, 01:10:11 AM »
Is there anyway to add a P2P program to the list  that Avast already has? I use Areslite but it is not on the list that Avast had nor does it have the option to add it.  And does anyone know why AOL is never listed under the mail programs is so many programs that are out?

You can set up mail protection if you want, manually. In the next release Shareaza - www.shareaza.com and a few other problems will be added. I am not sure, but I'm thinking that Areslite will not be one of them.

The reason a user can't add their own P2P program is because each protection service is designed specifically for that program.  More programs will be added in the future, but for now Standard shield should protect you adequately.

Hope this helps,

Because it is not a pop3/smtp server application.
Only in version 4.5 (next upgrade) will be able to protect such email programs.  ;)
