I turned off real-time protection of Windows Defender and ST but the results were not good for me. Quick scans began to work but sometimes they still fails but Full scans continue to fail. Should I try ST's complete uninstallation?

I uninstalled every program that downloads on Windows start-up, including Avast, and turned Windows Defender off. After that I installed Avast and tried to run quick and full scans. The quick one works if following links and searching for potentially unwanted programs are off. The full scan is stopping at 5% progress with any variants of its options. Now you can see that something is wrong in Avast itself.

Hope some of the programmers take a look...
Maybe there is dump files into avast log folder.
Maybe you need to manual crash the computer and generate a dump.

It seems the problem is partially solved. The crashes (according to the dumps) were caused by VueMinder_Lite_Setup_7.4.2.exe. It is the setup file of an old version of VueMinder Calendar Lite (a calendar program similar to Mozilla Sunbird). I send a copy of the file for analyses and removed it from my computer. Since then there were no problems with scanning.

PS: The VueMinder Calendar Lite itself causes no problems. Now I'm using v8.1.3.

Just an observation:
To me all of this has again proven how important updating your programs are.
Not only your security programs but all the programs you use.
If you don't, this is the kind of problem you run into.

I never forget to update my software. I only forgot to delete an old setup file from the folder where I keep all installers.

Wow, you mean it was the old install file residing on your comp that caused this problem ???
I have hundreds maybe thousands of old setup files on my main system.  :o

Yes, it was. The calendar program itself causes no Avast crashes.
