Perhaps another reboot speed up things.
My system slowed down really a lot after the first reboot.
It was almost not usable anymore.
Second reboot solved it.

PS:
I think you should change your signature now ;)

Well with a new version, perhaps the persistent cache is going to be repopulated, but I would say it is too early to say about scan speed until you have done a few scans.

On my first scan 'Quick' on the RC3 version it was much faster than my 8.0.1497 scans. So I think it will take a few scans to get a better idea on overall scan speed.

So far it looks good. Quick scan is faster...at least for now.

My perception is that the scan speeds generally have increased in speed with every version.
Unfortunately scan speeds can vary for a number of combined reasons at any given scan.

Unless you know for sure that you're comparing apples to apples, there really isn't any way to know
if the current scan is faster or slower.  All you can do is to judge if the time it takes is acceptable to you and be guided accordingly. :)

Scan speeds are invariably going to be different on diiferent machines as they will contain varying amounts of data etc.

Scan speed is governed by the amount of data being scanned so times will vary.

Thanks.

If this was a clean install then there's a whole lot more data to scan.
