« on: March 03, 2011, 12:35:28 PM »
Dear All,

Does anybody ever meet such as cases of our user founded which avast 4.8 Net Client detected vps-11022600.vpu as a malware.

Here i attached one of the report summary diagram as for additional information.

The file indicated as an infected file was located on :

Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast4\Setup\vps-11022600.vpu

Program Files\Alwil Software\Management Tools\InstPkgs\vps-11022600.vpu

Program Files\Alwil Software\Management Tools\mirror\mirror\vps-11022600.vpu

Program Files\Alwil Software\Management Tools\mirror\distrib\distrib0\vps-11022600.vpu

This is the first time that i meet that avast detect their database as a malware.

Dear Yanto.Chiang,

False positive is trigged just on file 'vps-11022600.vpu', next VPU file 'vps-11022601.vpu' is OK. This false positive occurred only if you have VPS update before 27.2.2011. Please update to latest VPS update to correct this problem.

Hi Misak,

Great and thanks for your kindly information,

Let us check their ADNM server first to know deeply about their VPS status.

Hi Janeway,

The user is using manageable avast antivirus with ADNM, so i don't think so that would solving the problem.

But after we remote their server, their ADNM (AMS) is looking fine and their user can got the latest update : 110303-1
