in the resident scanner theres a tab called blocker,what is this(a script blocker?)and is it best to leave it set to default setting because i dont know much about blocking,thanks brian(thanks for the anti-virus product free,very good program(my opinion)

If you mean "Blocker" in the Standard Shield, it's the "Behavior blocker" - a part of the resident protection blocking "suspicious" operations (such as formatting a drive), according to your configuration. I would say it's best to keep the default settings here.
