What is (are) .mdb's used for in Avast! 4 Pro?
« on: September 14, 2004, 11:53:53 PM »
Hi

I happened to notice a ODBC driver 'installed' by /for Avast.

I am just curious as to that database's use, suspecting that it is the store for the VRDB.

By the way, the "Database has been updated" audio sounds exactly like me!

Thanks

It does not 'store' the VRDB (which file is C:\ ... \Avast4\DATA\integ\avast.int).
The mdb database stores avast configuration on avast4.mdb file. You can choose another storage method (.xml). You can tweak your avast4.ini file (see 'Settings' on my signature) or download AEC (on 'Control' in my signature)  ;)
