Possible interference with Zoot installer?
« on: September 15, 2004, 05:20:14 PM »
I'm using Avast on Windows XP/SP2 and am wondering if it is the problem that a program called Zoot--an *excellent* info storage and retrieval program--cannot install. The installer appears to run, but does nothing, then quits. It is a 16-bit program, if that's important, and it does run run under XP/SP2.

I'm just asking because I'm baffled.

Any information appreciated.

Thanks,

Tom

Fixed!

Apparently the config.nt file was the culprit. I edited it and removed the setting for the Avast device, and Zoot installed. Does this have any effect on Avast itself?

And thanks.

Your welcome and I don't think so. However, if I'm mistaken I'm sure someone from Alwil will be along to let us know.
