But... is there a way to fully uninstall Windows Defender on Windows 7?
You can disable it, but can you uninstall it?

Someone told me you can't uninstall Windows Defender on Windows 7 because it part of the OS, or I could wrong and it would be too risky to try it on windows 7 :-\

Let me know how to un-install it.  :)

This is a discussion of protecting a pen drive not Windows Defender.  ;)

Essexboy uses the Panda USB Vaccine.  Many of us here use it with no conflicts.  Easy to use and free.

I don't fully trust this link and I wouldn't even touch it >:( >:( >:(
This is not a malicious link, it is one of the best programs to clean up pen drive from viruses that are triggered by autorun (lnk).
Yes, the program is not on the well-known companies, but it is one of the best.
Install it and Avast Free - a good bunch.
I am not author.

Use folder protection applications.
You can use TrueCrypt to encrypt and protect disks, partitions or make a virtual disk (file) protected.
